Meaningful change begins with brave questions

OCEAN™ – a five-phase framework
for insight, action, and lasting progress.
The OCEAN™ Framework
OCEAN offers a structured approach for leading meaningful change – in organizations, in teams, and in individual lives. Most change efforts do not fail for lack of intention. They fail for lack of structure. This is the structure.
Two paths. One structure.
For Leaders
Many leaders can manage change on paper; fewer create the conditions for real transformation. OCEAN helps identify the patterns that keep teams stuck and create experiences that shift perspective, unlock energy, and open new paths.
For Individuals
You already know what needs to change. Knowing is not the hard part. The hard part is why you are still here, doing the same things, getting the same results. OCEAN works where insight alone stops working.
The Framework
OCEAN is designed to support both organizational transformation and personal growth. Its five phases create a clear path through complexity, resistance, and uncertainty.
To see and understand
Enter the world of a person or group, observing reality as it is shaped by perceptions, relationships, context, and hidden rules.
To envision and build
Define a meaningful goal in precise, actionable terms, turning insight into direction and direction into a destination worth reaching.
To reveal what is hidden
Reveal the recurring patterns, ineffective solutions, and hidden resistances that keep people and groups stuck.
To spark new energy
Introduce new experiences and actions that interrupt old patterns, shift perspective, and make new possibilities available.
To sustain growth
Consolidate progress through repetition, habits, relationships, and contexts that help the new direction endure.
Theoretical Foundations
The OCEAN™ framework is grounded in the theory presented in Leading Meaningful Change and formally conceptualized in this paper. Drawing on organizational behavior, systemic thinking, communication, and applied research, it maps the real terrain of transformation: where resistance comes from, why familiar patterns survive good intentions, and what it takes to move from insight to lasting progress. Not a survey of ideas – a field guide for how people and organizations actually move.
About The Team
OCEAN™ was built by Andrea Fronzetti Colladon – professor, researcher, and someone who has spent years studying how people and organizations attempt change, and why they so often follow familiar patterns of success and failure. He leads the Business and Collective Intelligence Lab at Roma Tre University and works alongside leading Italian and international organizations. The approach is shaped not by theory alone, but by close work with what transformation actually looks like in practice.
What We Offer
Real transformation is not just about org charts. It changes how people think, make decisions, and work together. We bring OCEAN to your context with precision, helping change endure and resilience outlast the project.
Courses in Change Management, Problem-solving, Leadership, and Innovation Management, grounded in research and designed for practitioners. Not broad overviews – practical tools you can put to work right away.
Not the kind that ends with a workbook and a few good intentions. We design experiences that break patterns, sharpen insight, and create the conditions for change that lasts.
